Diane is one of only a few artists in the world with the expertise, experience, and vision to design and create exquisite, long-lasting concrete faux bois garden furniture.
In 2013, inspired by her love of trees, nature and gardening, Diane set out to learn the lost art of faux bois (“false wood” in French), which began in France in the mid-1800s and flourished worldwide until about 1920.
She mastered this elusive art form by applying techniques she learned during her studies at the Florence Academy of Art in Italy, as well as the experience she gained during her many years as an award-winning ceramic sculptor.
Though she has an appreciation for the charm and historical significance of antique European faux bois, she has a unique vision to forge her own path that resonates with a new generation of art collectors, garden enthusiasts, and general nature lovers.
Diane’s sculptural work can be found in many corporate and private collections has been nationally published in books and magazines.
